FoodLens — Terms of Use

By downloading, accessing, or using the FoodLens mobile application (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Service Description

FoodLens is a mobile application that provides informational content about food products by scanning barcodes and displaying ingredient, nutrition, and allergen information.

2. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: The information provided by FoodLens is not medical advice.
  • Product data may be sourced from Open Food Facts and other open databases.
  • Information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated.
  • Always check the official product label and packaging.
  • Users with allergies or medical conditions should consult a healthcare professional.
  • FoodLens is provided for informational purposes only.

3. Premium Subscription

Premium features may include:

  • Removal of advertisements
  • Unlimited favorites
  • Scan history storage up to 100 items

Subscriptions are managed via RevenueCat, Google Play Billing, and Apple App Store and may renew automatically unless canceled by the user through the respective app store.

4. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or manipulate the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s systems or infrastructure

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, and software related to FoodLens are the intellectual property of the App’s developer and are protected by applicable laws.

6. Service Modifications

FoodLens reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without prior notice.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

  • The App is provided “as is” and “as available”.
  • No guarantees are made regarding accuracy, reliability, availability, or uninterrupted service.

8. Limitation of Liability

FoodLens shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the App or reliance on its content.
